The Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC)–Tesano on Sunday, 16th November 2025, hosted Apostle Ransford Obeng-Gyamfi, Canada National Head, who delivered a sermon on the rationale behind the Church’s 2026 theme, titled “The Church Unleashed to Transform Society Through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit.”
During the service, Apostle Obeng-Gyamfi outlined the scriptural foundations for the forthcoming theme, referencing Acts 13:1–5; Colossians 1:4–6; Acts 8:4–8; Matthew 24:14; Mark 16:15; Matthew 6:33, among other passages. He explained that the Church is not limited to a physical building but comprises individuals who have accepted Christ and belong to His kingdom.
Apostle Obeng-Gyamfi emphasized that the 2026 theme calls believers to engage society with intentionality, boldness, and spiritual responsibility. He noted that the gospel carries inherent power to transform lives and that this transformation becomes effective when believers rely on the Holy Spirit.
He further explained that personal liberation begins when individuals identify areas of spiritual bondage and allow the Holy Spirit to bring genuine freedom. He added that those who receive Christ become citizens of God’s kingdom, carrying the responsibility to honour Christ in every sphere of life—including homes, workplaces, communities, and national settings.
In addressing the wider mandate, Apostle Obeng-Gyamfi stated that believers are representatives of Christ and are expected to carry His authority and influence wherever they go. According to him, societal transformation occurs when the Holy Spirit works in and through committed believers who uphold obedience, holiness, and the spread of the gospel.
The message concluded with a call to action, urging the congregation to prepare for the 2026 focus by yielding to the Holy Spirit and positioning themselves as instruments of transformation. The church was encouraged to embrace the theme as a divine assignment aimed at impacting individuals, communities, and nations through the power of God.
