Presiding Elder Gideon Kissi delivered a sermon emphasizing that there is no neutrality in this world. Every person is a conduit or vessel through which the spirit realm or a spirit finds expression (Romans 14:7). He stated that individuals either express the Spirit of God or that of the devil, with no middle ground. Believers are called to partner with God and serve as vessels to express the agenda of heaven on earth, just as Christ did during His time on earth. Everything they do should align with God’s will.
He stressed that faith should not be confined to private life. There should be no division between the secular and the spiritual. Apostle Benjamin Debrah whose script he preached from also reinforced this point, explaining that just as cologne represents or identifies a person, Christians must express or “smell” like Christ in the world (Romans 8:17).
The message highlighted that believers are called to be the light of the world (John 8:12). Light is meant to be placed on a stand to shine, and in the same way, Christians must shine wherever they go. If they fail to do so, someone may never receive salvation, as scripture states that men love darkness (John 3:19).
The sermon also cautioned against identifying with worldly values, whether in workplaces or schools. Christians do not need to conform or compromise despite societal pressures. Since the Holy Spirit dwells within them, they must serve as channels through which He flows into their lives and the lives of others.
Believers were urged to stand out and not conform, even in the most challenging situations. The example of Daniel was used to illustrate the importance of excellence, as it yields results and draws others to God.
